KYNS (1340AM) is a news/talk-formatted radio station in San Luis Obispo, California. The station is owned by Mapleton Communications.

Progressive talk programmingEdit

The station had carried a full-time progressive talk format, with programming provided by Air America Radio and Jones Radio Networks but switched in late January, 2013 to news along with the Clark Howard and Jon Grayson (Overnight America) shows.

HistoryEdit

1340am has been identified with previous call letters, KGLO, sometimes pronounced "K-GLOW." After its local owners sold it to Mapleton Communications, the calls were changed to KYNS, which stands for "your news station."
