KHRO (1650AM) is a former news/talk-formatted radio station licensed to El Paso, Texas. As of May 2011, it was changed to a Spanish language sports radio station serving the El Paso area as an ESPN Deportes affiliate. This station is under ownership of Entravision Communications.

Progressive talk programmingEdit

The station had carried a mix of local conservative, liberal and nonpartisan talk. It is a former Air America Radio affiliate.

HistoryEdit

The station was granted its first set of call letters, KBIV, as a new sign-on, on September 4, 1998. They became KHRO On February 25, 2005. Prior to carrying Air America, they aired a rock music format. As of May 2011, it was changed to a Spanish language sports radio station serving the El Paso area as an ESPN Deportes affiliate.
